ambigrams and logos

 

it's neat when people look at these images and after a short pause they get it. they'll see the one word or number and then ... aha.

 

ambigram is a word coined by douglas hofstadter. more recently, john langdon, was commissioned to do several images for the dan brown book Angels and Demons. flabergastingly cool ambigrams.

inspired by these designs, i've delved into this realm of double meanings in word marks.
